EMPHASIS  

The European Strategy Forum for Research Infrastructure (ESFRI) has identified “Plant Phenotyping” as a priority for the European research area and EMPHASIS has been listed on the ESFRI Roadmap as an infrastructure project to develop and implement a pan-European plant phenotyping infrastructure. EMPHASIS-PREP is the first step in the construction of that infrastructure, and focuses on its business model and the design of its various components and processes. CVL’s role centres on “mapping and gapping” the image analysis tools and pipelines employed by phenotyping installations across the EU, and developing strategies to address the gaps identified.
