This project focuses on repurposing and evaluating digital learning tools originally developed by the e-learning department at the University of Stavanger. Due for completion in August 2017, it’s funded by EU Erasmus Plus.
Working with colleagues at the University of Stavanger, as well as at the Catholic University of Valencia, we are translating and redesigning the learning tools to make them relevant for nursing students in each of the partner countries.
The tools cover topics such as wound care, respiratory physiology and thermoregulation. We are evaluating their acceptability and integration with students and tutors, aiming to provide important data around the efficacy for learning of OERs that have undergone adaptation and translation.
The digital tools will be released as OERs (in the three different languages) for use on mobile devices within each country, and the audio will be freely accessible as podcasts on iTunes U.
