Professor Madhusudan appointed as the NIHR Divisional Lead for Cancer (East Midlands)

Congratulations to Professor Srinivasan Madhusudan who has been appointed as the NIHR Divisional Lead for Cancer (East Midlands).

The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) is funded through the Department of Health to improve health and wealth of the nation through research. A key aim of NIHR is the translation of basic science discoveries into tangible benefits for cancer patients.

Professor Madhusudan said: “Bringing clinical research opportunities to cancer patients in the East Midlands is an enormous challenge. Over the next two years, we will develop an approach that empowers patients to seek clinical studies across the region and thereby access medicines of the future.”
