Mathematics undergraduate student Maddy Ellis has launched the country's first night-time pastoral service for students' safety and well-being on nights out – Nottingham Night Owls.

Prof. Gerardo Adesso honoured as a WEF Young Scientist for 2016

Description
The school's Professor Gerardo Adesso has been honoured as one of the World Economic Forum (WEF)'s 44 Young Scientists 2016 at the Annual Meeting of the New Champions in Tianjin, China from 26 to 28 June 2016. The world-renowned honour has been awarded for his work on quantum research and its role in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, in terms of the development of quantum technologies.
