Description
The University of Nottingham has a rich heritage of high performing athletes who are either studying or have studied in Nottingham, that represent their country at the highest level. This includes representation at the Commonwealth Games, with the upcoming 2022 games in Birmingham the latest example of students, alumni and associates performing on a global stage.

Nottingham-at-the-Olympics

Description
From our very first Olympian John Dudderidge who competed in Berlin in 1936 in the Canoe event to our latest Team GB medallist, canoe slalom athlete David Florence; the University of Nottingham is incredibly proud of all our Olympian and Paralympian alumni. Their achievements inspire our students to follow in their footsteps and achieve their dreams of reaching the pinnacle of their chosen sport.

Notts Varsity Series

Description
Notts Varsity Series series sees the best sportsmen and women from University of Nottingham go to battle against Nottingham Trent in some of Nottingham's biggest sporting venues. University of Nottingham are currently ranked 2nd in UK Student sport and have dominated the Varsity series in the past decade, winning 8 out of the last 10 titles.
