The University of Nottingham Sport is recruiting 5 positions for National Governing Bodies, these positions will encourage participation of the relevant sports to the whole student body here at Nottingham.
The positions available are:
Volleyball x 1 (Higher Education Volleyball Officer) - closing Tuesday 14 May
To lead and coordinate the development of recreational volleyball at the host university. To encourage new participants into the sport, ensuring a quality experience for all players, regardless of their ability. The key focus of developing inclusive recreational opportunities will be based around 4v4 volleyball.
Lacrosse x 2 (University Lacrosse Officer) – closing Tuesday 14 May
This role will implement the offer of Lacrosse, developing the lacrosse community, helping to increase participation and expand the profile of the game.
Netball x 2 (University Netball Officer) – closing Tuesday 14 May
As an UNO, you will introduce students to our great game, support others to continue playing in a variety of ways, and encourage the real keen netballers to play even more netball, both at university and within the local community.
All roles will be on a voluntary basis although benefits (including training and kit will be provided for those in post). No formal qualifications are required for any of the roles but an enthusiasm, knowledge and passion for developing the specific sport is required. The individual should be motivated, enthusiastic, have a desire to develop professional skills, an interest in leadership, good time management and interpersonal skills.
