Basketball players studying at The University of Nottingham's join an exciting and ambitious programme based at the £40 million David Ross Sports Village. These world-class facilities, including a High Performance Zone and a Sports Injury Clinic, combined with an international-level coaching team, allow player to take their game to the highest level. 

With regular fixtures within the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) leagues, the team also play in the National Basketball league and in front of thousands of spectators during the annual Varsity match up at the Motorpoint arena. In addition, student athletes can potentially represent Team UK in the unique Tri Campus Games; travelling across the globe to our Malaysia and China campuses  for a sports festival with a difference!

Andrea Congreaves 208v208

Performance Coaching

Head of Women's Basketball Andrea Congreaves has been coaching the University of Nottingham programme for over four years and holds a Level 2 coaching qualification. 

Andrea was the first ever British sportswoman to play in the US Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) league before a successful career in Europe, notably in Spain and Italy. Representing Team England, Andrea was a key player in the 2006 squad who took Commonwealth bronze in Melbourne.
