The VLL has worked intensively with the School of Pharmacy and the School of Veterinary Medicine and Science (SVMS) over the past three years. This work has involved the funding, installation and embedding of a wide range of technologies into teaching practice to effect a wide-scale change in the delivery and reception of teaching/learning on specific modules and programmes.
Using the visualisers and plasma screens, we were able to stop the class at will and demonstrate any concept with which the students were struggling. Brilliant!
Staff from the School of Pharmacy have shown fantastic imagination in the way they have addressed a range of pedagogical challenges using visual technology and the advice and support of the Visual Learning Lab Core Team.
Staff in the new School of Veterinary Medicine and Science have integrated a wide range of technology into their teaching. From large-scale visualisers for lab work to high resolution digital photography to aid diagnosis, students are feeling the benefits.
