Dr Katharina Lorenz supports her students in getting to grips with a wide range of visual technologies . These include digital cameras, scanners, large-scale printers, and digital microscopes. She believes the work has a positive impact on their visual literacy and ultimately their employability.
Maryse Wright and Oranna Speicher used videoconferencing to establish a cultural exchange between the University of Nottingham and universities in France and Germany . The students felt that the resultant conversations were 'as good as face- to-face contact'.
