Silent study

When working in a silent area, please do not talk and keep your phone on silent to avoid disturbing others.

Silent Study Spaces 

  • Chair, desk and power socket.

Drop in or book online

  • Book online - Book 2 x three-hour slots a day up to seven days in advance with Click and Study
  • Drop-in - use any available non-bookable space (these are spaces without a printed number).

Quiet study

Suitable for low-level conversations - please try not to disturb others.

Study Space 

  • Chair, desk and power socket.

Study Space (with PC)

  • Chair, desk and networked PC. 
  • Located in zone 4 (at the top of the library).

Drop in or book online

  • Book online - Book 2 x three-hour slots a day up to seven days in advance with Click and Study
  • Drop-in - use any available non-bookable space (these are spaces without a printed number).
 

Access to PCs

Working on an assignment, need to check NUsearch or print? These spaces are for you.

Study spaces with PCs

  • Chair, desk and networked PC
  • Available in zone 4 at the top of the library.
  • Drop-in or book online.

Short Stay PCs

  • Drop-in only - up to 15 minutes use. 
  • Located next to the MFDs in zone 4.

Assistive technology

  • For the use of assistive technology and hardware.
  • Available for students eligible for Enhanced Library Support.
  • To book, email UI-LS-bookings@nottingham.ac.uk
  • Located in zone 3 of the library.
  • Equipment includes: specialist software, video magnifier, foot rest, wrist support, printer, scanner, various mice and keyboards and more

Our group spaces are for collaborative work or studying with friends. Please be mindful of others who may be working nearby.

Our group study tables are ideal for studying alongside friends.

  • Available in all zones (in-between the bookshelves).

Bookable

Looking for a space for collaborative work or group discussion? 

Group study rooms (with PC and large screen)

  • Chairs, large table, networked PC and large screen.
  • Available for groups of up to 6.

Book online

  • Book 2 x three-hour slots a day up to seven days in advance with Click and Study.
  • One person should book on behalf of the group.
