The BAFTAR’s
Biosciences Award for Technicians, Administrators and Researchers
BAFTARs are awarded annually to celebrate the exceptional work of staff engaged in teaching and research activity, as well as staff supporting the overall delivery of teaching and research across the School of Biosciences. These awards add to our existing awards scheme for excellent delivery of teaching by academic staff.
Staff members and students are eligible to vote for any staff member who they believe have really gone out of their way to contribute something special towards the work of the School. A BAFTAR nomination is a way of recognising your appreciation of help and support contributing to the continuing success of the School.
BAFTAR Award Categories
Staff Nominated Awards
Central Support Award - staff nominated (Individual)
For any individual member of central support staff who has gone the extra mile (with Estates, Procurement, Catering, Finance etc)
General Support Award - staff nominated (Individual)
For any individual within the School of Biosciences who has supported you over the last year in any capacity.
General Support Award - staff nominated (Team)
To vote for a team who has provided outstanding support to you over the last year in any capacity.
Teaching Support Award - staff nominated (Team or Individual)
To vote for an individual or team who has provided outstanding teaching support.
Long Standing Contribution - staff nominated (Individual)
For an individual who has provided exceptional support over a number of years.
For a member of technical or administrative staff who has provided exceptional support for teaching activities within the School of Biosciences.
Student Nominated Awards
Teaching Support Award - student nominated (Team or Individual)
To vote for an individual or team who has provided outstanding teaching support
General Support Award - student nominated (Individual)
For any individual within the School of Biosciences who has supported you over the last year in any capacity.
How to make a nomination
All staff and students will be notified annually via email when the nomination forms are released.
