Pre-conference postgraduate workshop
5 Dec 2014

A free event co-hosted by the University of Nottingham and the Homo Debilis Creative Unit, University of Bremen

Disability is now studied across a range of different disciplines in the Arts and Medical Sciences, but while a range of academic meetings have discussed the problems of researching medieval disease and disability, graduate students are hardly included in the discussion.

As a response to this need, we will offer a Graduate Workshop, specifically designed to include as wide a range of disciplines and expertise as possible.

The workshop is free of charge and open to any graduate student with an interest in medieval disability. It will precede the 8th Conference on ‘Disease, Disability and Medicine in Medieval Europe’ at the University of Nottingham (6-7 December 2014). This year’s conference will focus on infection and long-term sickness.
