PGCert Higher Education Global

The University of Nottingham PG Cert Higher Education Global course offers a global perspective on higher education and will develop you as a critically reflective, evidence-informed, practitioner.

The course is designed for professionals teaching and supporting learning in higher education including university teachers, technicians, learning technologists, academic and information skills support professionals, IT staff, research staff and recently graduated postgraduate research students.

The course starts with a compulsory online induction (five hours over two sessions) to ensure you have everything you need to begin the course with confidence.

You will then study three 20-credit modules - asynchronous and online. Each module will take 14 weeks to complete (including assessment submission) and is the equivalent of 200 hours of study per module.

• Module one: Teaching and Supporting Learning 
• Module two: Course Design
• Module three: Educational Inquiry 

Each module will be assessed by coursework and a range of methods are used, including written reports (no more than 4,000 words), oral recordings and written proposals.

You will interact with other students as each module will involve group activities using online collaboration software.

The course starts in January and will take up to 12 months to complete.
