Description: Civil Engineering Taster Day, Wednesday 3 May 2017

A Level Maths and Physics students are given a taster and insight into studying Civil Engineering at University. The students will study some truss design theory and do some truss calculations before putting their practical skills into play; building and testing a truss to destruction with materials provided. The students will have the opportunity to talk to academics about studying engineering and ask admissions related questions and they will be taken on guided tours of our laboratories.

Aimed at Years 12 and 13 studying Maths and Physics.
