IET Faraday Challenge
(Aimed at students in Year 7) Schools are invited to bring a team of 6 students - ideally those who have good ICT skills, are confident using computers and are interested in Science, Design & Technology, Mathematics or Engineering.
IET Faraday Challenge Days give students the opportunity to research, design and make prototype solutions to genuinely tough engineering problems. At each event teams compete to win a prize for themselves and a trophy for their school.
The 2015/16 season of Faraday Challenge Days will be based around the BBC micro:bit devices and have been designed to introduce Year 7 students to coding and get them interested in this area so that they can move onto other, more complex devices in the future. The University of Nottingham is hosting this event but for more information: http://faraday.theiet.org/stem-activity-days/bbc-microbit/index.cfm
