In this scenario, Mrs Khan is consciously considered for an MUR. The invitation is made easier by:
- The pharmacist knowing Mrs Khan personally and greeting her appropriately
- The pharmacist asking about Mrs Khan’s family (this is appropriate in many Asian cultures)
- The dispenser inviting Mrs Khan to talk to her in a less busy area of the pharmacy. This allows her space for her to explain the MUR service more fully
