It is important to remember that due to international migration and worldwide mobility of health professionals and client groups, nurses more than ever need to understand and respect cultural differences. For example greetings can differ greatly from culture to culture and what is acceptable to one person may not be acceptable to another. Communicating competently with Patients including touch and eye contact will vary significantly.
