Printed Collections
The special printed book collections are listed below. Items within the collections are catalogued in the University of Nottingham's library catalogue, NUsearch.
To search for items within any Special Collection by keyword, type your keywords into the main search box and click the green magnifying glass to search. Then go to the filters on the right hand side of the screen and scroll down to 'UoN Collections'. Find the Collection you wish to use, and apply the filter.
To bring up all resources in any specific Special Collection, choose 'Advanced Search'. Change the first option 'Anywhere', to 'Collection', and choose 'with the words'. Type the name of the collection (see below for a list, e.g. East Midlands Collection) into the main search box and click the green magnifying glass icon to submit the search. When the search results load, scroll down the filters on the right hand side of the screen. You can modify your search further by using filters for resource type, date of publication, language, etc.
If you are able to log in to NUsearch, you can use NUsearch to make online bookings to view Special Collection items in the Manuscripts and Special Collections Reading Room. University of Nottingham staff and students and University of Nottingham library card holders are able to log in and use this function.
