Biography

I studied at The University Of Leicester and gained a BSc(Hons) in Combined Science (Maths and Psychology) before going into my nurse training down in Canterbury. On qualifying as a paediatric nurse I worked for over 12 years on the PICU at the Birmingham Children's Hospital. During my time there I undertook a Masters in Medical Ethics and Law, the ENB 415 course, a mentoring course and up graded my nursing qualification to a BSC(Hons). I started working for the University of Nottingham (In Derby) as a research nurse in December 2014 whilst still working in Birmingham. In June 2009 I left Birmingham and clinical work to concentrate more fully on research and took up a part time position as a paediatric research nurse with the NHS in Derby. I continue to work for both the University of Nottingham and for the Royal Derby Hospital

Expertise Summary

I have extensive experience undertaking research within a Hospital environment and a University setting
