Current Research

• I am the Principal Investigator on an ongoing NIHR SPCR funded grant, titled 'Experiences and knowledge of pharmacists, nurses, occupational therapists and physiotherapists certifying fit notes'.
• I am currently completing an NIHR SPCR funded Postdoctoral Fellowship, titled 'Exploring use and implementation of rehabilitation prescriptions for individuals admitted to UK major trauma centres: a mixed-methods study'.
• I am supervising a MSc Rehabilitation student who is researching 'Do caregivers experience post-traumatic growth? A qualitative study exploring the positive experiences of traumatic brain injury informal caregivers'.
• I am an International Collaborator on an Australian funded Grant which is exploring 'new models of rehabilitation to improve work and health outcomes after stroke'.

Past Research

Previously worked on the following studies:

• NIHR funded programme grant - Multicentre Research Programme to Enhance Return to Work after Trauma (ROWTATE)
• Defining the regional barriers to healthcare in Brazil during the COVID-19 global pandemic. Internal GCRF Research Awards
• Optimising Psychoeducation for Transient Ischaemic Attack and Minor Stroke Management (OPTIMISM study)
• My PhD research which I completed in 2019 - 'Brain-in-Hand Technology for Adults with Acquired Brain Injury: the AMBiHTION study'.

I have supervised the following MSc projects:

• A Qualitative Study to Understand the Impact of Caring for Traumatic Injury Survivors
• Increasing the self-efficacy and knowledge of acquired brain injury support workers through online upskilling training
