Biography

I completed the MPharm Degree at the University of Nottingham in 2006. I have been a registered pharmacist for the past 15 years and worked in both primary and secondary care. I received the Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy in 2009 (University of Derby) and returned to Nottingham to complete my PhD in 2018.

I have worked within a range of research areas including the following projects:

  • Systematic reviews of eczema treatments.
  • Analysis of prescribing data extracted from large databases.
  • An evaluation of the "Healthy Living Pharmacy" project.

I am have recently completed a project, funded by the NIHR School for Primary Care, which involves setting priorities for further research into how community pharmacists can treat dermatological conditions. I also organised a Q and A session on paediatric atopic dermatitis for pharmacy staff. This can be watched here.

I am also currently working on the BEACON trial, where I will be interviewing participants to understand their experiences of using systemic treatments for moderate to severe eczema.
