Biography

Matthew attained a BSc in Economics from the University of York in 2007, going on to study for a MSc in Health Economics. Matthew joined the University of Nottingham in 2008, working as a research assistant in the Research Design Service for the East Midlands, giving advice on health economics as part of research bids. Matthew left the RDS to start a PhD in economic evaluation in 2010, which he completed in 2015. His PhD involved designing and developing the Economic Impacts of Smoking in Pregnancy (ESIP) model. Matthew is currently working on further refinements to ESIP as well as developing Health Economics and Economic Evaluation in the Division of Primary Care.

Expertise Summary

Matthew's main expertise is in decision analytic modeling for economic evaluation, but has experience in economic evaluation as part of clinical trials.
