Smallest periodic table gift for Prof. Yuri Oganessian

Description
In honour of the visit of Prof. Yuri Oganessian on 12-13th March 2019, the nmRC have achieved a new record for the smallest periodic table alongside a miniaturised portrait of Oganessian and the creator of the periodic table Dmitri Mendeleev.

Research which has been published in 'Nanoscale' shows that three dimensional nanoscale analysis has revealed aperiodic mesopores in a covalent organic framework and conjugated microporous polymer.

University launches 3D OrbiSIMS at nmRC

Description
On Monday 14th January 2019 a launch event was held for the 3D OrbiSIMS, first-of-its-kind equipment to transform imaging of cells, tissues and materials. We celebrated the launch of the new 3D OrbiSIMS with a series of short talks on the exciting new science and technology associated with and enabled by the technique.
