Huge congratulations go to Dr Dai Evans (PRIMIS Lead Clinical Adviser) and Dr Paul Maddy (PRIMIS Clinical Adviser) on being appointed as Fellows of the UK Faculty of Clinical Informatics (UKFCI).
Dai and Paul join Dr John Robinson (PRIMIS Clinical Adviser) who is a Founding Fellow.
These appointments recognise the contribution that Dai and Paul have made to the UK health informatics sector. The UKFCI is the UK’s only organisation representing clinical informaticians in health and social care.
Nearly 100 applications were submitted by an array of professionals, ranging across doctors, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, social care and allied health professionals. All applications were reviewed by the Faculty’s Fellowship Assessment Panel, overseen by the independent chair, Professor Don Detmer, University of Virginia, (Past-President of American Medical Informatics Association).
Following ratification by the Faculty Council all applicants have been informed of the outcome, and the Faculty is pleased to report the admission of 44 new Fellows to the Faculty.
