This week is Clinical Audit Awareness Week (20th-24th October), led by the Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP).
GPs and practice staff may like to look at - or revisit - the suite of FREE online learning resources on Clinical Audit, which PRIMIS developed on behalf of HQIP.
The online learning is divided into three lessons focusing on clinical audit for GP revalidation, practice-wide and multi-practice clinical audit and audit for clinical commissioning groups. All lessons can be accessed by members of PRIMIS Hub (both basic or full members).
Each of the three online lessons is accompanied by a workbook and completion can contribute towards Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for GP appraisal.
You can find out more about the Clinical Audit online lessons and how to access them here.
HQIP has many events and materials planned for the week, including lunchtime webinars (1-1.30pm) and early evening Twitter chats (6.30-7pm), plus support for any hospitals and healthcare organisations that wish to host Clinical Audit Tea Breaks. Again, a raft of free promotional materials has been created for download (see below).
These events, running throughout the week of 20th -24th October, aim to raise the profile of national and local clinical audit, and promote the benefits of audit to a wider audience in an accessible way.
