Skills for Success
Many of the qualities that help take sports people to the top are the same ones that help us succeed in life.
This fun, fast-paced PE-based session makes the link between success - both personal, academic and sporting - and teamwork, trying your best, and making the right choices.
Children will work in teams to try out three activities. The first will explore how, by perseverance and setting yourself small goals, you can improve your performance and looks at the idea of focussing on your own "personal best" rather than comparing yourself to others. The second teaches children the vital skills of working in a team and communication. For the final activity, the teams will compete against each other in a fun finale, learning how working together, encouraging each other – and making the right choices – can improve their performance.
