England rugby captain Dylan Hartley made a guest appearance at the 02 Touch rugby event held at the Highfields playing fields on Wednesday this week. University of Nottingham students were invited down to take part in the fun touch rugby tournament, and over 150 turned up to play in a team, cheer them on or have a go on one of the 'turn up and play' pitches.

Changes to sports facility opening hours

The David Ross Sports Village is now entering the final phases of construction, with the opening scheduled ready for the new academic term. As a result we will be running reduced opening hours across the University Park and Jubilee sport centres from 5 – 25 September. The Sutton Bonington sports centre opening hours will remain unchanged.

University of Nottingham Sport are pleased to announce that our popular holiday soccer schools will once again be running for 5 – 11 year olds.Running during the school holidays in October, December and February, the soccer schools are a fun way for young players to learn and improve the basics of the game as well as teamwork and match-play.

Youth Futsal taken to the next level at UoN Academy

The past couple of weeks have been the busiest of the year for the UoN Futsal Academy. On Friday 25th June, we hosted our second "Schools Cup" with 9 primary schools from around the Nottingham area descending on Jubilee Sports Centre for an afternoon's futsal action to help promote the benefits of futsal to local school children and raise awareness of our youth program.
