Here for You Guides are a team in the School of Psychology who support you with settling into university, help you to navigate the wider support options that are available, and encourage your professional and personal development.

The team is made up of:

Student Advice Coordinator

Your Student Advice Coordinator is your first point of contact if you need support whilst you are at university. They can offer advice and guidance to help you throughout your time here, and if they can't resolve your issue, they will make sure they put you in touch with the right person who can help. You can visit them in the Psychology building, and you are welcome to contact them via email.

If you are ever unsure of who to contact for any queries, your Student Advice Coordinator is your first point of contact.

Academic Guides

Your Academic Guides are here to support you with any academic-related questions throughout your time at the university, such as understanding essay feedback. You will meet them during timetabled group sessions in Welcome Week and throughout the year, and they are available to meet one-to-one for further support. Engaging with these activities will help you connect with your peers and support your professional and personal development.

Peer Guides

Peer Guides are third year undergraduate or postgraduate students who can offer advice from a student perspective relating to your course or the university. They will be holding themed drop-in sessions throughout the year for you to attend.

Once you are able to access the virtual learning space, Moodle, you will see a module for Here for You Guides that contains more information.
