As Head of our School of Psychology, I lead and oversee all activities within the School. Our overarching aim is to inspire all of our staff and students to fulfil their ambitions and have the best possible experience within a diverse and supportive environment.
I oversee all the teaching in the School, which includes the curriculum and how we include skills in different modules. We aim to challenge and inspire you to learn more about psychology in your courses. I sit on the staff Teaching and Learning Committee, the School Management Group and the Staff-Student Learning Community Forum.
I am the school-based Senior Education and Student Experience (ESE) Administrator for the School of Psychology. I work closely with the school, students, and the ESE team across the Faculty of Science to improve the education and student experience for all Undergraduate and Postgraduate students.

I am the first year and second year Student Advice Coordinator and I’m here as your first point of contact if you need support whilst you are at university. I can offer advice and guidance to help you progress throughout your time on our course, no matter how big or small the query. If I can't resolve your issue, I will make sure they put you in touch with the right person who can help.
The role of Support and Wellbeing Officer is to provide support and advice to students with any welfare issues or concerns they have. I can provide support through in-person meetings, MS Teams meetings and phone calls. You can reach out for support from myself and the Faculty of Science Support and Wellbeing team by emailing the Science Support Team.

I am the Year 1 tutor, involved with managing student engagement, extenuating circumstances, and act as a point of contact for Year 1 students on the course. I am also Workshops Coordinator and teach on various UG and PG modules within the School of Psychology.
As part of my admin roles, I serve on the UG Admissions Committee, coordinating Open Days and Offer Holder Days, and lead on the school’s social media accounts.

As Year 2 tutor, I support Year 2 students with academic and wellbeing concerns.
I’m here to help students in situations where they may not feel able to approach their academic guide or other staff members. I also have a working knowledge of most things related to Year 2, so please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or hit any roadblocks.
I’m the Year 3 tutor, and I act as a point of contact for our final year UG students. I’m also a member of the Careers and Employability Committee within the School of Psychology, and I’m involved in the teaching of various modules, including modules on the MSc distance learning course.
Senior Tutor and Student Experience Officer
As Senior Tutor, I support all students with academic and wellbeing concerns and ensure a healthy learning environment for all. My role as Student Experience Officer is to work with students and staff to hear the student voice and enhance the university experience.
The MSci is a four-year version of our standard BSc course, where students have the opportunity to take a wide range of Level 4 modules in an extra year of their undergraduate degree.
My role is to make sure students find a balanced and enjoyable selection of master's levels modules in this year and I supervise the compulsory dissertation module that is taken in Year 4.
As the Director of Postgraduate Teaching, I oversee and coordinate all of the PGT courses (master's level) within the department. My research interests cover how children think about 'culture'; these include the development and spread of skills, tool use, morals, norms, and supernatural ideas.
I am the Director of our Postgraduate Masters programme in Psychology (Conversion), and I am responsible for organising most aspects of that one-year programme. I am also one of the School’s Assessment Officers and oversee the range of assessments that we use across our various programmes in Psychology.
I have worked in psychology for over 15 years and was Director of Teaching for 6 years. I teach on cognitive psychology modules, and I am also the examinations officer for Year 3 students.

Director of the MSc Cognitive Neuroscience
I teach in several modules on the above course. My research interests are in brain imaging (magnetic resonance imaging) and behavioural methods to understand vision and touch. I enjoy thinking about data visualisation, science communication, and small computational puzzles.
As part of my admin roles, I serve as Deputy Chair on the Ethics Committee and represent our School on two committees at the Sir Peter Mansfield Imaging Centre.

I’m the Course Director for the MSc Developmental Disorders. I oversee the running of the course, act as a point of contact for students on the course, as well as contributing to the teaching of some of the modules on the programme.

I’m the Course Director for the MSc Psychology conversion (by Distance Learning).
I oversee the running of the course, act as a point of contact for students on the course, as well as contributing to the teaching of some of the modules on the programme. I am also a member of our Psychology Learning and Teaching Enhancement group which drives research in learning and teaching practice.
Director of Psychology Research Methods MSc.
As course director, I oversee the Psychology Research Methods MSc program, and provide support for students enrolled on the course. My research interests include behavioural and eye-tracking approaches to understanding vision, audition, and speech processing.
Director of Postgraduate Research
As PGR Director, I am responsible for overseeing several aspects of postgraduate research, from initial interviews to the completion of thesis submission. My interdisciplinary research programme exploits advanced technologies, from single neuron recordings to concurrent eye tracking and EEG/MEG/wearable MEG-OPMs, to study several cognitive processes (memory formation, visual search, driving).
