E.ON 2016 home: Progress

E.ON, sponsors of the 1930s house

2 October 2008: Day of the visit of the BBC outside broadcast team. The house is complete and was furnished with 1930s furniture and a 1930s Austin parked outside.

The BBC outside broadcast van in the place of the 1930s Austin.

The house has a control centre alongside that simulates the existence of the party wall of the neighbouring semi detached house, and also contains equipment for datalogging.

Mid September 2008: E.ON house: Finishing touches being applied.

June 2008: E.ON house advancing well, up to wall plate.

May 16th 2008: Walls rising rapidly

May 11th 2008: Suspended Floor joists laid

May 5th 2008: EON home: Foundations laid, below-ground walls rising. The walls are as would be built in the the earliest days of cavity... just 50mm, with no insulation. Behind it you see the BASF house, now complete.

Foundations laid, below-ground walls rising.
