Welcome

Welcome to this scenario which will help you get a better understanding of the role a community nurse plays in providing invaluable care to patients in their own home and introduces you to the essential requirements of a home visit.

You will follow Nurse Judith who is undertaking the first assesment visit of a patient (Joy) referred to have a leg ulcer dressing reviewed and renewed and should have a greater understanding of the many challenges faced by a community nurse during a home visit and how they can be succesfully overcome.

You will be required to make notes of your observations along the way and by the end of the scenario you should have a completed notes section, which you can print out as a record of completion.
