Whether it’s for quiet, focused study or to quickly drop-in to print something off, we can help you find the space that's right for you.

Silent study

When working in a Silent Zone, please do not talk and keep your phone on silent to avoid disturbing others.

Book online or drop-in to use any available non-bookable space (spaces without a number).

Silent Study Space

  • Chair, desk and divider. Some spaces have plug sockets.
  • Located in the open area of the library and A31
  • A bookable height adjustable desk is available - space 1

Quiet study

In Quiet Zones you may have low-level conversations but please try not to disturb others.

  • Located in the open area of the library
  • Bookable and drop-in spaces

Study space with PC

  • Chair, desk and networked PC
  • Located in the open area of the library and A32

Calm Study Space

  • Suitable for people who prefer a less disruptive study environment.
  • Located in Room A27
  • Desk with divider, chair and power socket
  • Bookable spaces 141 - 146 (Room A27)

Working on an assignment, need to check NUsearch or print? These spaces are for you.

Study space with PC

  • Chair, desk and networked PC
  • Located in the open area of the library and A32
  • A bookable height adjustable desk is available in A32 (space 41)

 

Accessible spaces

Height adjustable

  • Bookable height-adjustable desks are available.
  • Study Space with PC - Room A32, Space 41
  • Silent Study Space 1 (open area of the library)

Height adjustable desks are also available in the Assistive technology room. 

Assistive technology room

  • Available for students eligible for Enhanced Library Support.
  • All desks are height adjustable
  • One space with a PC and two screens
  • Two spaces with two screens to which you can connect your own device
  • Meeting space with a small low table and two armchairs.

Studying with others?

Our group spaces are for collaborative work or studying with friends. Please be mindful of others who may be working nearby.

Tables

Our group study tables are ideal for studying alongside friends.

Located in the Learning Hub (through the glass door next to the self-service machine)

  • Located in the Learning Hub - A02e

Clinical Skills room

  • Located in the Learning Hub - A02a
  • For up to 5 people
  • Power socket available
  • Please ask staff to unlock this room when you arrive for your booking
