Silent study
When working in a Silent Zone, please do not talk and keep your phone on silent to avoid disturbing others.
Book online or drop-in to use any available non-bookable space (spaces without a number).
Silent Study Space
- Chair, desk and divider. Some spaces have plug sockets.
- Available across levels 3 and 4.
Silent Study Space (with PC)
- Chair, desk and networked PC.
- Available on levels 3 and 4.
- Bookable spaces - Level 3 spaces 26 - 31, Level 4 spaces 43 - 48.
Study Room (for 1 person)
- Chair, desk and power socket.
- Available on levels 3 and 4.
- Bookable spaces - Level 3 rooms 313 - 321, Level 4 rooms 413 - 423.
Study Room with PC (for 1 person)
- Chair, desk and networked PC.
- Available on levels 3 and 4
- Bookable spaces - Level 3 rooms 304 - 310, Level 4 spaces 404 - 410
Calm Study Space
- Suitable for people who prefer a less disruptive study environment.
- Desk with divider, chair and power socket
- Level 3, Room 302 and Level 4, Room 402
- Bookable spaces - Level 3 and 4 spaces 1 - 4
- More comfortable seats are also available in these rooms. These spaces don't have desks and are suitable for reading or taking a break (drop-in only)
Quiet study
In Quiet Zones you may have low-level conversations but please try not to disturb others.

Our group study tables are ideal for studying alongside friends.

- Chairs and table, some with power sockets and large screens
Hallward Library cafe
- Available near the entrance on level 2
- A variety of spaces are available for group and individual use, including tables, booths and sofas.
- The booths also have power sockets.
- Hot food can only be eaten in cafe spaces.

How to book
- Book 2 x three-hour slots a day up to seven days in advance with Click and Study.
- One person should book on behalf of the group.
