Michael completed his undergraduate BSc in Physics and Philosophy in 2014 and last year completed a Physics MSc. He is currently looking at on-surface synthesis with particular focus on ncAFM and Ullmann Coupling.
Andrzej graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2020. He completed his fourth year research project with the Johnson group where he studied oxygen release from next generation battery materials. Andrzej's current work is looking into the imaging and analysis of energy storage materials via Cryo-FIB SEM.
Ian graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2020 with a Chemistry MSci, completing his masters project on studying glass structure using solid-state phosphorus-31 NMR. His current research involves developing new molecular systems encapsulated in carbon nanotubes to study via transmission electron microscopy (TEM), by simultaneously imaging molecules and inducing chemical reactions between them.
Bradley graduated in 2020 from the University of Nottingham with an MSci degree in Chemistry. He is currently working at the University of Nottingham as a PhD student (DTP) in the Nanocarbon group collaborating with the Engineering department. His PhD is currently focusing on the investigation of room temperature photomagnetic materials using TEM and ODMR in a combined 'Lab-On-A-Grid' approach.
Melissa graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a First class Chemistry MChem degree. Her research will aim to understand the extent and impact of plastic pollution on water quality and services using established (e.g. SEM FTIR) and emerging (e.g. 3D ToF-SIMS) analytics.
