RC 3 - Design

How can we use computational and algorithmic approaches to support materials identification and product design?

Leading Team: Clive Roberts (Lead) and Anna Croft (Co-lead)

AIM: A computational design platform for identifying manufacturable formulations. We will develop data-validated computational methods to a priori determine and optimise.

  1.  which materials combinations are required for functionality and printability via inkjet printing, reactive jetting and pµSLA / SLA
  2. the design of structures to meet industrial requirements and the defined exemplar products.

We will exploit advances in machine learning and design optimisation supported by aligned analytical data to create algorithmic approaches to designing products from formulation through to shape and composition.
