Our refund policies
UoN Students / UoN Student Direct Relatives
A cancellation/pro-rota refund can be issued:
- Without a reason up to 14 days from the date of purchase.
- Withdrawing from your studies at the University of Nottingham (confirmation required to support your cancellation).
- Medical reason due to illness or injury (doctors/medical note required).
Alumni & Associate, UoN Casual Staff, David Ross Sports Village and Sutton Bonington Sports Centre
Monthly Direct Debits:
Alumni & Associate, UoN Casual Staff, David Ross Sports Village and Sutton Bonington Public members have the opportunity to freeze membership for up to three months. During this time an active Direct Debit is required, however no fees will be taken. To submit a request to freeze your membership please contact our Memberships Officer. A membership freeze can only be activated from the 1st of each month. If you wish to freeze for the forthcoming month pleasure ensure you contact the team at the latest of the 24th of each month,
The UoN sport and fitness membership is a continuous membership agreement and fees shall be collected on the 1st of each month via direct debit. This is a flexible membership which can be cancelled any time by providing one full calendar months’ notice. For example, if wishing to cancel your membership in August, a cancellation request is required by 31 July (one month previous).
Paid in Full Memberships, Staff Salary Deduction and Staff Monthly Memberships:
A cancellation/pro-rota refund can be issued:
- Without a reason up to 14 days from the date of purchase.
- Medical reason due to illness or injury (doctors/medical note required).
Please note:
- If you have opted for an Annual Paid in Full membership this shall be valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
- If opting for a Staff Salary Deduction Annual Membership and your contract at the University of Nottingham ends, your UoN sport and fitness membership will continue and a temporary membership card shall be issued
- If optining for a Staff Monthly Membership, you can cancel your membership with 1 full calendar months notice. Staff Monthly members are unable to freeze memberships due to salary payments, but you are able to cancel and renew/rejoin with no joining fee.
Please note, membership refund requests will be considered within 7 working days.
