Joanne Lim - winner of this year's Dearing Award
The Dearing Award Panel has chosen one of our Malaysian colleagues - Joanne Lim - as one of the winners of this year’s Lord Dearing Awards.
The Dearing Award is the University’s scheme for rewarding and promoting different aspects of teaching quality within the University. It is operated by Teaching and Learning Board. The Dearing Award Scheme has, since 1999, recognised the outstanding achievements of University of Nottingham staff in enhancing the student learning experience. Since its inception, over 200 members of staff from a range of different staff groups have received an award, many of whom have been nominated by the students they teach and support.
A Dearing Award is highly valued within the University and acknowledges the world-class input of staff in creating a student learning environment which is nurturing on the one hand, but, on the other, is challenging, creative and innovative.
Congratulations to this tremendous achievement!
