Dr Monica White joins delegation attending the UK-Russia Rectors' Forum in Moscow
Dr Monica White (Russian and Slavonic Studies) was invited to join a delegation sponsored by the British Council to the second UK-Russia Rectors' Forum in Moscow, January 25-26, 2022. The delegation, which included representatives of a number of British universities, UUK, the Science Museum and the British Library, attended a number of meetings at Moscow State University with counterparts from all over Russia to discuss collaboration.
As part of the official proceedings, a UK-Russia Student Association was established by Nottingham students Grace Charvonia (2nd year Russian and Spanish), Toby Maynard (2nd year MLB), Kathryn Birch (MRes Modern Languages), students from Rose Bruford College and the University of Aberdeen, and Russian students. The Student Association, which is supported by the British Council, plans to hold online networking and social events, as well as an in-person conference in conjunction with the next Rectors' Forum (tentatively planned for summer 2022).
