Paragraph commemorates Christopher Johnson
Christopher Johnson (1958–2017) had a long and close association with the journal Paragraph, serving as an editor from 1987 to 2010 and as an advisory editor from 2011. The July 2018 number of the journal, which is now available online, carries a homage to Chris written by Marian Hobson, one of Paragraph's founding editors. The text is freely available to non-subscribers on the Edinburgh University Press website.
In addition, a Virtual Issue collecting all the articles Chris wrote for Paragraph has been made freely available via the journal website at the following link: Paragraph: Virtual issues
On Saturday 26 January 2019, the journal will host an academic commemoration at King’s College London, entitled ‘Mediating Thought: A Conference in Honour of Christopher Johnson’ and involving the following speakers: Terence Cave, Leslie Hill, Marian Hobson, Michael Holland, Peggy Kamuf, Judith Still, Michael Syrotinski and Boris Wiseman (further details to be circulated in due course). The proceedings of this event will in turn form the basis of a special number to be edited by Nicholas Harrison and Diana Knight and published in March 2020.
