Nottingham in Parliament Day

The School of Cultures, Languages and Area Studies represented The University of Nottingham with two events:

  • The Freedom Blueprint: How we end contemporary slavery, where Professor Zoe Trodd (Department of American and Canadian Studies) was one of several speakers.
  • Valuing and Developing Community Languages – what role politicians?, organized by our Director of Language Teaching, Dr Neil Hughes, and featuring pupils from local Community Languages schools, who had been prepared for the event by Neil and Tara Webster-Deakin (Widening Participation and Outreach Manager).
