PhD viva achievements - January 2017

Warmest congratulations to two of our postgraduates who passed their vivas this month:

• Melanie Bhend, who has passed her viva with a thesis in French literature "On me dit fou": la parole du fou en résistance au discours aliéniste dans la littérature française (1830-1870) - and who has also just been appointed to a post in the Language Centre in French and Spanish.
• Margarita Escobar, who has passed her viva on her thesis Question Time in the Mexican Congress: Following the Rules of the Game
