Members of the School, ASAP group, and the LANCS Initiative (S&I Award), Ender Özcan and Andrew Parkes, won the best paper award of the Self-* Search track at the ACM Genetic and Evolutionary Computation Conference (GECCO, Dublin, July 2011) for their paper "Policy Matrix Evolution for Generation of Heuristics".
