Professor Graham Hutton has been appointed as Director of the Midlands Graduate School in the Foundations of Computing Science.
The Midlands Graduate School, usually known as the MGS, is a unique and highly successful training programme in the mathematical foundations of computing. It has been running for approaching 25 years, and attracts around 100 participants per year from both academia and industry.
Prof Hutton said: "The MGS has played an important role in the development and promotion of theoretical computer science research in the UK; it's great to have the opportunity to help further develop the graduate school as its director."
