UoN student wins second prize at major Chinese speech competition

Description
Selected and trained by Nottingham Confucius Institute, UoN student Jennifer Heaney, competed against 18 other university students selected from over 10 Confucius Institutes in the UK and came second at the preliminary London leg of the 22nd Chinese Bridge competition, a prestigious contest in Chinese language proficiency and cultural knowledge for non-native speakers.

NCI present drama "Behind the Curtained Door"

Nottingham Confucius Institute were proud to present the drama "Behind the Curtained Door" at the Djanogly Theatre, Lakeside Arts on Friday 16 June. It was commissioned by Manchester Confucius Institute and developed in collaboration with the University of Manchester's Drama Department.

"Moon Rabbit and Other Stories from China": music, wonder and surprise for Chinese New Year

Description
Jointly funded by Nottingham Confucius Institute and Arts Council England, "Moon Rabbit and Other Stories from China" successfully toured across Nottingham from 28 January to 16 February. A total of 30 performances were held at Lakeside Arts Djanogly Theatre, six libraries, six primary schools and two special education needs schools during the three-week period, reaching over 2,500 children and their families!
