Research

Our researchers are amongst the finest in the world, pioneering in their specialties and advancing approaches to research. As such, our approach to embedding digital technologies into research activities, distribution and management, must and will be steered by the academic community.

In order to support advances in research activity through the use of digital technologies, we will:

  • Support how research projects are defined, and how research data is gathered and interpreted, using new intelligent systems to unlock approaches to defining and delivering research activity
  • Implement and utilise systems for project management and research information management that serve to reduce administrative burden on academic staff, while delivering on regulatory requirements
  • Embed and maximise the use of digital technologies to disseminate research findings and outputs, ensuring maximum reach and impact of our research around the world
  • Facilitate the use of digital technologies to form new partnerships and collaborations with other academics, universities, governments and businesses around the world
  • Provide the physical infrastructure to support advanced use of technology in research, including ensuring data security and protections
  • Empower academic staff to lead their own use of digital technologies in their research by advancing digital literacy and skills.
