Before you start
Preknowledge
It
is expected that the knowledge presented in this RLO will be underpinned by
prior knowledge of the principles of moving and handling. You should never
attempt to exceed your capabilities and it is expected that you will have some
level of supervision as you engage in moving and handling techniques. Each
clinical area has a designated health care worker who has a moving and handling
role. If you are working clinically, please seek appropriate advice from this
person or a senior colleague if you are unsure about your moving and handling practice.
