The recognition that fundamental quantum effects such as coherence and entanglement can be harnessed to achieve enhanced information processing, secure communication, and precision measurements, has triggered the ongoing quantum technology revolution. Research in the Quantum Information and Metrology theme focuses on many facets of such an exciting and rapidly developing area.
Our interests range from the mathematical and theoretical foundations of quantum theory, to the study of key resources for quantum information tasks, up to demonstration of their applications in quantum cryptography, quantum control, quantum thermodynamics, quantum sensing, and beyond.
