Real, Complex and Functional Analysis

Our Research Theme studies problems from several branches of mathematical analysis, motivated both by pure and applied questions. In real analysis, we study partial differential equations, with a focus on nonlinearity and nonconvexity.

In complex analysis, we study a wide range of iterative dynamical problems involving analytic, meromorphic and quasiregular functions, as well as properties of the functions themselves. In functional analysis, our central interests are the study of Banach algebras and the calculus of variations, especially variational convergence.

Our research has real-world applications to materials science and data and image processing.
