1-2-1 Lessons
Our Swim School programme has supported hundreds of young people and adults to learn to swim or improve their skills from our extensive swimming facilities at David Ross Sports Village.
Available to all ages and abilities, our 1-2-1/private bubble lessons are a fantastic way to learn to swim or develop your technique. Our expert instructors offer a tailored approach designed around each individual's need and personal goals.
Our 1-2-1/private bubble lessons offer:
- Flexible lessons designed around the individual needs of the swimmer
- Qualified Level 2 instructors for every lesson
- Beginner, improvers and advanced level sessions
- Private section of the pool designated for your lesson
- Equipment provided throughout
Our 1-2-1 waiting list is now open to new customers, both for adult and childrens lessons. To join our waiting list, please use the link below.
Our 1-2-1 lessons are 5-week bookable courses - 30-minute lessons are £97.50 per block and 60-minute lessons are £162.50 per block (60 minute 121 lessons are only available Monday and Tuesdays). We offer options for all ages and abilities as well as a separate programme during the school holidays:

Please note before booking, applicable to new and existing customers
- Lessons available to swimmers aged 4 years and above at our main swimming pool (due to pool temperature).
- For families with more than one child wishing to attend private lessons, please see our private bubbles option.
- Lessons are suitable for swimmers requiring shallow and deep water lessons.

For Adults, the abilities must be the same either all Adult Beginners or Improvers or Advanced.
30-minute lessons are £15.50 per swimmer per lesson - only available in 5 week bookable courses. The days and times available are the same as the block 1-2-1 swimming lessons. To join the waiting list, please click the link for the 121 waiting list.
July 2024 PAYG (pay as you go lessons)
From Monday 24th June - Sunday 28th July 2024, the main 121/Private Bubble programme will be changing to PAYG lessons due to staffing restrictions. During this period our current customers will have the flexibility to be able to pick the days and times they would like to attend, you may book as many or as few lessons as you would like.

How to book
From Monday 10th June at 9.15am, current customers on our 121/Private Bubble programme will be able to book their same time slot with their same instructor if they are available (You will have 7 days to book your same time slot).
From Monday 17th June at 9.15am, current customers on our 121/Private Bubble programme will be able to book any time slots available.
From Monday 24th June at 9.15am, bookings will open to group lessons and waiting lists.
FAQ's
How much will the PAYG lessons be?
The 121/Private Bubble lessons will be changing to PAYG due to short staffing. For this reason, we will be charging the normal course price per lesson. Please remember there has been a price increase: 1-2-1 lessons are £19.50 for 30 minutes and Private Bubble lessons are £15.50 per swimmer 30 minute lesson.
How can I pay?
Payments can be made by card, cash or cheque. Your place will only be confirmed once you have booked and paid.
Will I lose my space if I do not attend the PAYG lessons?
No, you will still get priority for your normal time slot for the next course which will start at the beginning of September in the normal 5-week bookable courses. More information will follow in the next few weeks.
What happens to the lessons in August?
From Monday 29th July - Sunday 1st September 2024, the main programme stops and we will be running a Summer Holiday programme. More information about what we have available will be released in July.
