Temporary Swimming Pool Closure from Monday 24 – 30 May.

Description
As part of our ongoing commitment to improve our facilities whilst reducing our impact on the environment, the swimming pool will be temporarily closed from Monday 24 May to Sunday 30th May inclusive.

28 athletes from University of Nottingham Triathalon club took part in BUCS Sprint Championships, held at Waterland Outdoor Pursuits, Gloucestershire and it proved to be just the experience they were looking for.

Three Podiums for UoN Cycling Club at Time Trial in Cambridge

Description
Eight members of UoN Cycling Time trial team travelled to Cambridge on Sunday 18th April to compete in the BUCS 25 Mile TT hosted in Cambridge. It was one of the first in-person competitions for well over a year, and students from a number of universities were finally able to compete against each other after Covid-19 sidelined the sport.

University of Nottingham students selected for 2021 GB Elite Development Programme

Description
GB Hockey has announced the squads selected for the 2021 Elite Development Programme (EDP) and it includes 13 students based at the University of Nottingham. First formed for the 2017/18 season, the GB EDP is funded by UK Sport and designed to provide players who have the potential become Olympic medalists of the future the best possible opportunity to achieve their international hockey ambitions.

Neuroscience student impresses on the International Judo Stage

Description
With Covid-19 impacting martial arts around the world Amy Platten, a second year Neuroscience student, has been fortunate enough to receive an elite-athlete exemption enabling her to continue to train and compete in Judo with the Universities support. More recently she was selected to compete at the International Judo Federation Tbilisi Grand Slam where she had a fantastic tournament and built some really valuable experience.

Artistic Swimming - A new name to mark a new era for the sport

Description
Last year, ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, the sport of synchronised swimming underwent a name change. In line with world governing body FINA, the sport will now be known as Artistic Swimming and the club at University of Nottingham has changed its name.

Two-time Paralympic Gold Medallist joins University of Nottingham Table Tennis Programme

Description
This semester, UNNC are delighted to announce that Zhao Shuai, two-time Paralympic Gold Medallist in Table Tennis from 2012 and 2016, will be taking a break from his training camp in Hebei province to join our PE coaching staff at UNNC Sport.
